ACTFest 2018 "Take the Show on the Road" May 11-13, 2018 Hosted by the Phoenix Players Virden Aud Theatre Virden, Manitoba The Phoenix Players of Virden Manitoba would like to personally invite you to attend ACTFest 2018 “Take the Show on the Road” and be a part of the exciting festival that we are planning. The festival is to take place May 11 – 13, 2018.
Theatre companies attending the festival will be lucky enough to perform in Virden’s Aud Theatre, located at 228 Wellington Street West in Virden Manitoba. The 500 seat theatre was constructed in 1911 and was open to the public in 1912. The theatre was renovated in the 1980’s and continues to be upgraded regularly. Built as a classical style opera house, it has amazing acoustics. Whether you are attending or performing you will appreciate this local gem. Virden is a town with extensive history and many restored heritage buildings that we are hoping that you will take the time to explore and enjoy. There will be some time set aside within the schedule for visits to the Virden Costume Closet, the Canadian Pacific Train Station that is the home to the Virden & Area Arts Council and the Virden Pioneer Home Museum; a Victorian Era Home housing over 6000 articles from the Victorian Era. Our 2018 Adjudicators: Jim Forsythe, John Bluethner, Kent Suss |
